Our History

Fresno Adventist Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist, college preparatory, WASC-accredited Christian day school that serves Kindergarten through 12th grade. Founded in 1897 as Fresno Seventh-day Adventist School on the corner of Mariposa and "O' Street, the location of the school was moved several times as growth continued with the addition of grade levels. Eventually, in 1921, the school became a full twelve-grade institution and took the name Fresno Academy.  The collaboration of three churches led to the adoption of a new name for the school, Fresno Union Academy in 1929.  Again, due to growth, Fresno Union Academy moved to our current location in 1969.  The Board of Trustees changed the name to Fresno Adventist Academy where our goal is to teach each student to know Jesus Christ as their personal savior and grow as dedicated disciples of Him.
