 I am a graduate of Pacific Union College in the beautiful Napa Valley. I have been teaching children since 1986! I love to teach, take walks, read books, and spend time with my family and friends. I am married and we have one awesome son!

The best part about being a teacher is watching children grow in their love of Jesus! In first grade, we learn reading, writing, and arithmetic, but the best time of the day is the time we spend with Jesus!

Hello! My name is Tiffany Ellis and I'm excited to be joining the FAA family. I was born and raised in the state of New York to West Indian parents. Education and ministry were highly emphasized during my upbringing. My mother is also an educator, and my brother is currently attending Seminary at Andrews University. 

Since receiving my Bachelor's degree from La Sierra University, I have served for 10 years in Seventh-day Adventist schools around the country. Teaching high school math has always been my passion, though throughout the years I've been able to experience different grade levels and subjects. Currently, I'm working towards my Masters in Administration and Leadership through La Sierra University's School of Education.

Music is also a big part of my life. I usually have a station from Pandora playing quietly in my classroom. I enjoy gospel music the most. My first cassette tapes were from gospel artists and the first concert I attended (in a formal arena) was performed by Kirk Franklin and his choir. I am always involved in a praise team or choir at my church.

I am looking forward to getting to know my new students and colleagues this year. Working in a setting that allows me to help prepare young people for an eternal life with Christ is a blessing.

My name is Heidi-Anne Frick and I have the privilege of being the seventh-eighth grade teacher here at Fresno Adventist Academy. I have 6 years prior to teaching in multi-grade classrooms at the Northern California Conference. I was born and raised in the Greater Bay Area in Northern California. I honestly believe God called me to be a teacher and to help share God’s love with students.

I have a wonderful husband—David, two sons—Matthew (college in Nor. Cal) and Connor, as well as my mother-in-law—Nadene (Ma) that we live with here in Fresno.

Hello, nice to meet you. I am Leslie Kordowski! I come from a Mexican-Salvadorian background and was raised in a big family of 6 children. I am an alumnus of Fresno Adventist academy.  I first discovered my passion and love for teaching when I went with the FAA on a mission trip to Cambodia. It was during this time, I had the privilege of teaching science classes, and I knew I was going to be in ministry from thereon. Taking chemistry made me realize my love for science and when I mixed that with my drive for youth ministry, God led me into teaching science.

I earned my degree from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Union’s phenomenal education program helped develop GRIT and a powerful drive to constantly achieve better in my educational career.

I am happily married to Nathan Kordowski and we are proud owners of our puppy Poodle-mix Milo.  

The youth are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today! My philosophy of Education is to help my students achieve higher than they ever imagined possible academically, mentally, and spiritually. I want to teach young people how to have an authentic walk with God.
